35 students took part in this inaugural adventure camp-out from 23 to 25 Oct 2009. The bus departs Segi College, KL at 10am and heads towards Ulu Yam passing the scenic view of Batu Dam. A regular group of water collector, collects mineral water from the forest hill by the main road using PVC pipes to channel water into a water container.

This 3D/2N camping trip started with an ice breaker session upon settling down in their tents followed by team flag design. 4 teams were formed with the "theme" - Communication & Trust. The teams took slight more than an hour to come out with a slogan to reflect the theme. Segi College logo was a must to be included in the design of their team flags.

Adventure starts after stressing on the importance of communication and teamwork. The fisrt activity was Jungle Trekking. A 2-hour gruelling trek was met with heavy downpour halfway through the journey. A less dangerous short-cut was used on the way back to ensure safety for all. The group was met with a swollen river from the rain that makes crossing difficult but nevertheless, a tree truck was used to assist safe crossing.

The team then gathered to present their flag slogan after dinner. The presentations were made interesting with short skits.

Day 2, students went for Abseiling and Flying Fox. Just a short trek into the jungle, the abseiling point were set down a waterfall. A cooling splashed by the falling water on top refreshes ones body, mind and soul!!! After all the adventure in the morning, it was free & easy in the afternoon anticipating rain again. Some took the opportunity to take a short rest in their tents while some enjoyed bathing in the river.

A Jungle Walk was conducted at night. Using limited torch light, the team went on their very first experience walking in the jungle at near total darkness. They showed good communication skills and supporting each other throughout the walk. Teamwork sets in ...

Day 3, Before depart for KL, a series of Explorace competition were organised. Amasingly, the set of long instruction stating the game's rules & regulations were understood and followed deligently by all team. Well done guys and gals! Last but not the least, students were presented with a Certificate of Acheivement at the end of the trip.

It was an exciting and memorable trip overall. New friends found & old friends bond!Cool
