SEGI COLLEGE – Level 2
War Game - Dusun Eco, Pahang
9 – 11 Mac 2010
Day 1 – Bus departs from SEGI, KL for Dusun Eco, Pahang in the morning. Lunch was served upon arrival at the resort after being transferred from the bus to the resort by trucks.
The event began with Blow-Wind-Blow, an ice breaker for them to get to know each other before starting of the program. They’re then broken into 4 teams with Platoon Flag Design as the 1st activity. Teams presented their flags before tea break.
The “Terrorist Assault” started in the middle of their tea break with smoke and water bombs! Flags were also stolen by the terrorists and with that, the war began…
To recover their sovereignty and honor, the platoons need to overcome several challenges. Their first challenge was Black Hawk Down. All members of the platoons’ abseiled down a 20 meter-tall tower bravely with ease. Size did not stop a member from tackling tower. Larger size gear was brought in to facilitate the abseiling.
Points were collected from each challenge where platoon’s used to covert into coins for purchase of weapons and food from the Weapon Dealer before they tackle a 10’ Wall.
After dinner, a campfire was built where the platoons gathered to work on their communications. An Armageddon situation was presented and members need to fight for their rights to continue mankind in an unknown planet. A test on 8 Crap Traps was given to see if they pass this crucial test. 1 platoon came close but the rest failed miserably.
Day 2 – After breakfast, the platoons are required to build their own bamboo rafts and sail across the lake in the middle of the jungle. It was a successful launched! Well done all members. However, while they’re on their way back to base camp, they were ambushed again by the terrorists. Caught off guard, the casualties were high!
Entrapment, a team game was played to sharpen their Strategy & Risks Management skills. They are required to bring all team members and their equipments cross a Poison River. Few casualties but it’s a normal learning process. They continue to challenge the Rope Obstacle Course before attempting to pluck the leaking pipe to retrieve jewel deep inside and ended with the Commando Crawl in deep waters.
It was Saving Private Ryan at Night by Trekking through the jungle. Given only a candle to start with, the platoon members brave themselves into the darkness, collecting more candles and lighting up their way. Bomb blasts can be heard over their heads as the war continues…
After locating their flags whereabouts, one last final task has to be performed. The platoons escaped by planning a well coordinated Leg Tie walk, crossed a bridge laced with deadly Laser Beam above their heads and tracking through a maze of obstacles to finally retrieving their sovereignty Flags.
The final attack to wipe out the terrorists was held at night while the terrorists are busy preparing a fire for supper of corns and potatoes. Heavy bombardments with more than 300 bombs deployed. Victory at last!!! Team members then reflect their entire war journey ending the night by giving credits to those who made the mission a success.
Day 3 – Time Bomb - The objective is to defuse a time bomb with 4 teams working collectively. One bomb was accidentally exploded but no harm done. It was successfully done the 2nd attempt. For remembrance, the warriors formed a Pyramid group photo. The mission is finally accomplished, bravo to all Team Members
The program ended with prize presentation shares among all team members followed by a Certificate.
