SEGI COLLEGE – Level 1

Dusun Eco, Pahang

26 – 28 Feb 2010

Day 1 - The students departed from Segi KL by bus in the morning for Dusun Eco. Lunch was served upon arrival at the resort after being transferred by resort’s trucks.

The event began with a program itinerary briefing, a short “STORI” before settling down into their dorms followed by Blow-Wind-Blow where students get to know each other names, the countries they come from and the study program they’re taking up. As expected, questions like “are you still available pop up”. It’s more like match making!

The students proceed to design their Team Flags right after lunch. 3 conditions to building the flag are: Segi College logo, Team Name, Team Motto. They presented their Flags in the evening with a skid accompanied by a “Victory Cheer” where they’ll do the cry after accomplishing a task.

Wall Climbing was the first outdoor activity. They took up the challenge and a couple of them reached the top. Bravo…., considering this as their first attempt! Followed by crossing of a Hanging Bridge to reach the Flying Fox launching point, they totally enjoyed the 200m flight!

The program started building up with history of when the earth was made and how human kind developed through time. A heated debate was held among teams in preparation for Armageddon where they have only 15 minutes to decide who should continue mankind after earth!

Tips on communication were pointed out during the debate and put in use in 8-Crap-Traps where they failed miserably! Well, it’s a learning process to demonstrate the importance of effective communication.

Day 2 - Jungle Trekking kick start the 2nd day followed by the Obstacles Course after the Circle of Trust. Their biggest challenge was the 10-foot wall where they’re required to bring all members across. Well done!!! They managed to take every member crossed all obstacles safely.

The 1st outdoor competition begins with Explorace where 4 teams took up a series of challenges by crossing a Poison River, getting the team members to finishing line using Nature Call and ending up with plucking holes in a Leaking Pipe to retrieve their winning token.

Team Games continues with Entrapment – Pirates of the Caribbean in the evening. Unfortunately, 4 members did not join due to some minor injuries and etc … Anyway, the team spirits came alive where members receive positive strokes from each other in Credit Card.

Day 3 - Building Winning Team, The X-Game – where competing teams comes together to accomplished their final challenge by retrieving “something” by working collectively as a team. The lesson is, look beyond and work towards greater achievement!

Best Team and also the Overall Winner is Team Psycho. Congrates to all team members!
